I love this challenge. We could do this challenge every year and I’d be happy. And if Coach could play in this challenge every season I would never stop hosting Survivor.
But first… The “Didn’t See It Coming” match: Did anybody actually think Amanda would take out Danielle? That was the biggest upset of the match. A total shocker.
“The Most Exciting” match: Colby and Rob. That was a fantastic match-up. Exactly who we wanted to see go at it. Chalk this one up for Colby. That is how this challenge was designed to be played. Aggressively.
“The Most Embarrassing” match: It’s now official. James has clearly lost his mind. It’s el gonzo. It was the most lopsided match of the challenge. There was no doubt who was going to win. James knocked Randy off with one small push and then…he threw his bag on top of him and as always had to have the last word. “Get your f—ing old ass outta here.” Sorry James but this is where I get off the James train. It’s not that I think Randy is the nicest guy in the world either, but that was just unnecessary and truly ugly.
And now…to the greatest moment of the episode… “The I Can’t Hear You, Jeff, Because I’m Too Busy Posing For The Camera” match: Coach, you are a gem. You are the greatest. I loved this moment when it happened. I love it even more now that it’s on my TiVo and I can watch it over and over and over and over.
Side note: Some of you may be wondering about the sit-out rule pertaining to back-to-back challenges. That rule only applies within an episode. Each new episode it starts fresh. Typically we have two challenges within an episode, but not always. So Courtney was able to sit out the last challenge (last week’s episode) and sit out again in this week’s challenge (new episode.) Hope that clears up any questions.
You know what is fascinating...but stupid about Survivor's Villians? The entire tribe talked about how dangerous the scheming Parvati is then did nothing to get rid of her! It seems this entire episode centered around people mouthing different variations on the same ''Parvati is a huge flirt (with both the guys and girls) and is a huge threat because she has three known allies on the "Heroes" tribe and... "Other people may be fooled by her act but I'm not because I'm on to her and know she needs to go now,' speech.
Jerri even went so far as to proclaim, ''Parvati is like a virus,'' which made me happy because it means that, unlike Micronesia, this season I will not be the first person to compare Parvati to a sexually transmitted disease.
But after all that tough talk from the tribe, not a single person even voted for Parvati. Not even Jerri, who also revealed that, ''I'm at the point right now where every time I am around here, I just want to punch her in the face. That's all I can think about, is taking her down.'' Parvati later responded ( to the cameraperson) by referring to Jerri as a ''bitter old cougar..'' Name-calling. Mature.
The Heroes should have been reveling in their 8-0 sweep of the villains, but it ended on a sour note when James went all roid rage for the second episode in a row. It was obvious to all that he was going to pummel the older, slower, and weaker Randy, and that's exactly what he did with one push. But that wasn't enough for the Incredible Bulk. He then had to throw his bag right down on the defeated and dejected Randy. Nice sportsmanship! ... James responded to criticism about his actions the same way he always does, but yelling back, in this case telling Randy to ''get your f---in' old ass out of here.''

The scramble is on to find the hidden immunity idols on the next episode of Survivor.
Secret scene (below)
Russell shares a laugh with Jerri when he reveals to her that he is simply using Parvati to his advantage
PUT ON A HAPPY FACE
Randy was a not-surprising choice to be booted out for the Villains as much like like the poll-taking Internet audience repeatedly votes that he's one of the top un-liked --apparently his fellow Villains concur.
Both teams in Survivor 20 behave as if the voting process were a popularity contest despite their gaping blind spot to several of really relevant points--call it "old skool Survivor" voting. Jeff Probst has comments on this odd if not completely stupid behaviour in his blog.
Randy...went out..., hurling his buff onto the fire after voting for Rob “to send a little message,” he explained in his exit confessional.
Read the entire article at: Reality BlurredThis week was all about the redemption of the Heroes, as they bonded while catching some chickens and didn’t yell at each other so much. Doesn’t seem like much of a strategy, but it appeared to work, because the Heroes completely destroyed the Villains at the joint reward/immunity challenge. Of course, the glorified mud-wrestling competition involved zero puzzles and required nothing but brute strength. But hey, a win is a win – especially when the final score is 8 to 0.
Jerri and Cirie are next and Cirie wins easily, giving the Heroes their 4th win. Danielle and Amanda dance around a lot, but Amanda comes out victorious. Colby and Rob then square off with Colby winning. It is now 7-0 in favor of the Heroes. James faces off against Randy... Not-at-all surprisingly, James simply pushes Randy off the platform in a single motion. The Heroes win reward and their first immunity! The Villains will be making their first trip to Tribal Council.
Back at Camp-V, the losers wash the mud and shame off. It was pretty pathetic to come out with not a single point. Randy is worried that he may be in trouble as the oldest member. So he plots to get Parvati off. Meanwhile, she asks Coach directly if he’s voting her off. He says he hasn’t thought about booting anyone yet. Parvati plays all the tricks, including stroking him with, “I know you have no fear…”. Coach insists “flirting has never controlled me; I’m my own man.”

Oh, Villains. That was just embarrassing. Tonight’s mud challenge ass-whooping on Survivor: Heroes vs Villains proved that the Villains’ entire team of weaklings just don’t stand a chance against the Heroes’ brute force ... when it comes to anything physical. The
Villains Will Always Lose Physical Challenges: Tonight’s Sumo’an Mud Wrestling Immunity and Reward Walloping Challenge proved that the Villains’ so-called smarts can never win against the Heroes’ brawn in a physical contest.
The “tribe full of misfits” (Parvati’s words) are hindered by scary-scrawny Courtney and Tyson and the older and weaker Randy, Sandra and Jerri. No one can deny the power of Parv’s batting eyelashes, but they cannot row a boat or wrestle an opponent to the ground (or mud).
It doesn’t matter if James, Tom, Colby, J.T. and Rupert aren’t speaking with “one voice” when victory depends solely on brute strength. Too bad for the Villains that James only revealed his nasty nature after this season began.

A blow-by-blow account of the Sumo Mud challenge for immunity and reward Jeff calls the tribe for an immunity competition. They will square off Sumo style, keeping hands on the bag at all times and try to get the other into the mud. There is also a reward in play. They get luxury items, coffee, sugar, and a week’s worth of rice.
Tom and Russell take each other on. Tom gets Russell in the mud almost immediately with just two blows.
Parvati and Candice take on each other next.
The fight takes a few minutes, but Parvati is first in the mud and Candice wins.
Coach and Rupert go at each other next. Coach gets Rupert in the mud, but it is a do-over since Coach took his hand off the bag.
Coach shows his anger and Jeff warns him to take his anger out on the pirate.
Rupert gets Coach into the mud.
Jerri takes on Cirie and quickly Cirie gets her in the mud.
It is four zip for the Heroes.
Tyson and JT take on each other and in the rain, the mud becomes very slippery. Tyson is put in the mud immediately.
Amanda takes on Danielle and their fight is brief.
It is now Heroes 6-zip.
Boston Rob is up again against Colby and Rob fights to stay alive.
Colby pushes Rob down and slides him into the mud.
James takes on Randy and this is match point. James puts Randy in the mud in just one push.
Randy says, “Classy” and James shoots back with an expletive that is deleted.
Heroes win 8-0 and Villains have to go to tribal council. .... Randy worries that he is going to go home being the oldest in the tribe. Randy feels that if they overlook her because she has a smile and a nice wiggle, and if they don’t take care of business now, they will be in a world of trouble when she meets up with the other tribe.
Coach is approached by Parvati about whether she is about to go. She flirts with him and he says that he is immune to her charms.
Sandra tells Rob that Randy is weak.
Jerri says that Parvati is like a virus and can rope others in.
Jerri wants to bottle that up and use it in her real life, because she thinks it is powerful stuff.
Sandra says she will go with the tribe, Randy or Parvati.
She says she is trying to stay as long as she can.
Parvati works on Jerri, but Parvati isn’t getting through to her.
It is clearly either Randy or Parvati. Jerri says that she is not trying to get anyone to vote for anyone, but she is at the point right now where she wants to take her down.
Parvati says that Jerri is a bitter old cougar and her days are numbered.
Randy speaks on his own behalf and tells Coach that this is Micronesia 2.0 and if he is dead man walking, he will see him in loser’s lodge.
Coach says that there is nobody out here that is honorable but him.
He quotes Martin Luther King, saying that the measure of a man is not in times of comfort, but in how he rises to a challenge. Coach looks to hope that Randy is still there on the morrow and will fight for him.

HBO's hit series True Blood is back for Season 2.
True Blood Season 2 Episode 1: Bill's Love Confession
Click for S2x1 - "Eric Northman" (goes to my photo-video pages)
In the season opener, Bill, played by Stephen Moyer, and Sookie, played by Anna Paquin, have a fight about Bill killing Sookie's uncle.
(The uncle,as we found out in the first season, molested Sookie)
Bill uses the fight to confess his love for Sookie and a very steamy love scene follows...
True Blood's Season 2 premiere at 10pm on Friday the 26th of February on digital channel FX in the UK .
Kristin Bauer... who portrays Eric's right hand lady, Pam on HBO’s True Blood is a big supporter of the “Tails for Whales” campaign. In the video she speaks about the dangers that whales are facing today by ship strikes, pollution, and being slaughtered needlessly in Japan. You must have heard about the problem in Japan as it's in even mainstream news. Very troubling as there is a cultural aspect. This is a multi-pronged problem in urgent need of a comprehensive solution.Kristin explains that you can help the whales by joining IFAW’s grassroots campaign called “Tails for Whales“.
Anyone who is interested can go to the IFAW’s website, www.ifaw.org/whales, and submit a picture of themselves showing their “tail” with their hands. This simple act can have a lasting result on the whale population. According to IFAW’s website, all photos are being used to encourage governments around the world to create laws for whale conservation. The more people who show their “tail”, the more impact this campaign will have on lawmakers around the world.

OMG! Helena Bonham Carter was born to play The Queen of Hearts. She is so freaky-scary-enthralling. Scene stealing, anyone? She just may de-focus all the attention that has been lavished upon Johnny Depp by the media for his part as the Mad Hatter. I'm sure, reticent as he is about the glare of the spotlight, he would not at all mind.
(Above) "Did you steal my tarts?" - Queen of Hearts Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter crashes hit own party. At this moment, Johnny Depp is shooting his new thriller "The Tourist" with Angelina Jolie in Venice, Italy. On Friday, however, he'll find himself in London for the Royal Premiere of "Alice in Wonderland."
The expected blockbuster finds Depp reuniting for the...seventh time with director Tim Burton. Speaking at a press conference for "Alice" this past weekend, Depp talked about how much pressure he puts on himself to get his performance right. Whether it's Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands or Willy Wonka, the superstar clearly doesn't want to disappoint his good friend and director.
"The initial thing for me is to come up with a character, but there is a certain amount of pressure where you go, 'Jesus, is this the one where I disappoint him?' [I try to come up] something he hasn't experienced before and that would stimulate and make him inspire him to make choices based on that character," Depp says. "I try not to embarrass him basically."
..."Alice" opens in theaters on March 5. In the meantime, Depp appears as the quirky and emotionally unstable Mad Hatter in one of these new clips from the film... What moviegoers might find even more entertaining is Helena Bonham Carter's royally inspired and scene-stealing turn as The Queen of Hearts...in her own clip above.See my previous post for a scene in which Alice (Mia Wasikowska) meets the Red Queen just as she's lost--and gained something very important.

This is essentially a pictorial SPOILER post involving Jack, Hurley,The Numbers and names attached to The Numbers as well as other names/numbers--the significance of which we are not really sure.
All caps unless otherwise noted thanks to Source: Get Lost Podcast.
In the just-aired-in-the-US & Canada LOST (E6x05, 'The Lighthouse'), Hurley and Jack--at Jacob's behest (of Hurley) went to the Lighthouse wherein were The Numbers and names--written in a fashion much more easy to read than on last week's cave wall--they were on a piece of nautical navigational equipment with "degrees" on it. It was massive (see photos) and it had a triad of mirrors that I suppose would reflect pertinent scenes of the particular person for whom the degree setting was on mark. Hurley was maneuvering the device by pulling a chain and Jack caught a glimpse of what he called his childhood home in the mirrors. He ran over the the dial saw "Shephard" was at 23 degrees and then lost his cool completely. (So very Jack.)

"He's been watching me all my life!!!" he bellowed, while contorting his face in the most violently disturbing way I've ever seen Jack do (and that takes some doing). He yelled at Hurley to bring Jacob there but Hurley can't because that is not one of Hurley's "powers." Hurley interacts with dead people but he does not control when they show up, Hurley sort of explained. Jack became enraged even further and smashed the mirror but not before quite a few names, possible candidates were visible to the viewer including some that the average, non-obsessive LOST fan could recognize. Wait, is there anyone like that?
(There's Lostpedia for the comprehensive fine-tooth-comb list.)
Have a gander at the photos of the Jacob's Candidate/Numbers dial device in the lighthouse and tell me what you think!
Click through for full size.
My big question (besides WHO IS WALLACE?!) is when Jack is saying go back to his number he saw "something," when he did check at 23° he said he saw his childhood home. But. I see a picture of a pagoda, too. Is that another candidate's number/image? UPDATE*/ It is the place Jin and Sun got married. There's another, less-clear photo too that does not look like the image Jack identified as his home. UPDATE/ It is the church where Sawyer's parent's funeral was held.
UPDATE*! Thanks to Vozzek69!

Johnny Depp
"Alice In Wonderland" Great Big Ultimate Fan Event 02/19/2010
I only read the "bios" on the Alice characters just now and I gotta say they've really intrigued me. I was already looking forward to this film--the gorgeous Hi-res photos and posters certainly got my attention and of course there is the genius that is Tim Burton. I never tire of him using Helena and Johnny in his films. I think the fact that they all "get"one another makes for a better film. And of course the whole reason I first noted this film being made was that it was a Johnny Depp film (OK, maybe a slight exaggeration but he's got a big part). But now I see that there are several more actors of note In Burton's "Alice" including (the voice of) Alan Rickman, the physical presence and voice of Crispin Glover- as well as Stephen Fry! I've nothing against Anne Hathaway or the other actors but I am completely unfamiliar with them. Looking forward to the whole package. I'll probably be one of those people that see it more than once on the big screen. I love me some well-made escapist entertainment!
Publicity Posters, Stills from Alice (scroll down all the way)

ALICE (Mia Wasikowska) is a 19-year-old woman contemplating her future. An independent soul, she feels trapped in the narrow-minded views of women in aristocratic Victorian London. Alice Kingsleigh is uncertain how to balance her dreams with other people’s expectations. Following the death of her beloved father, she attends a garden party with her mother and sister, although, unbeknownst to her, it’s been planned as her engagement party. Just as the arrogant and dull Hamish Ascot proposes to her, Alice spots a White Rabbit wearing a waistcoat and pocket watch scurrying across the grounds. She rushes off after the furry fellow, tumbling down a rabbit hole and into Underland, a place she first visited as a child (and called Wonderland)—though she has no memory of it or its inhabitants. Alice nevertheless reunites with her childhood friends, including Absolem the caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and of course, the Mad Hatter—and seeks her true destiny. “In the beginning, Alice is very awkward and uncomfortable in her skin,” Wasikowska says. “So her experience in Underland is about reconnecting with herself and finding she has the strength to be more self-assured in figuring out what she wants.”CHESSUR, THE CHESHIRE CAT (voice of Stephen Fry) is a dapper tabby with the ability to appear and disappear. He is all calm, casual sensuality with a seductive grin that masks his cowardice. It’s the cat’s disembodied head that first appears to Alice in Tulgey Wood after she’s been attacked by the vicious Bandersnatch. He offers to purify the gashes on her arm by licking them. Alice declines, although she allows him to lead her to the Hatter’s Tea Party where the Hatter blames him for deserting them on the day the Red Queen seized control of Underland. Using his skills and the Hatter’s coveted top hat, Chessur later finds a way to redeem himself.
THE MAD HATTER (Johnny Depp) doesn’t just wear his heart on his sleeve—his ever-changing moods are quite literally reflected in his face and his attire. He’s been anxiously awaiting Alice’s return and is, arguably, her one true friend, believing in her when nobody else does. He is fearless, going to great lengths to protect her at his own risk. Once the proud hat maker for the White Queen, the Hatter has been affected by mercury poisoning, an unfortunate side effect of the hat-making process, and isn’t altogether well.
THE MARCH HARE (voice of Paul Whitehouse) hosts the Mad Hatter’sTea Parties at his Hare House. Paranoid, anxious and slightly insane, he constantly wrings his paws and ears and has a thing for tossing teapots and other items. He has a penchant for cooking and is one of the few Underland inhabitants to escape the Red Queen’s clutches all together.UNDERLAND, says screenwriter Linda Woolverton, is a part of the earth. “But it lies somewhere far beneath our world. The only way to get there is to fall down a rabbit hole.” It is the same fantastical land that Alice visited as a child, but she misheard the word “Underland” and thought they said “Wonderland.” Alice, now age 19, heads back down the rabbit hole and though she has no memory of her previous adventures in Underland, she is reunited with its inhabitants, including a swashbuckling Dormouse, an off-his-rocker Mad Hatter, a grinning Cheshire Cat, a caterpillar called Absolem, a beautiful White Queen and her spiteful older sister the Red Queen. “Time has passed,” says Woolverton. “The Red Queen rules the whole land. It’s under her thumb. And the people of Underland need Alice.” Underland has come upon hard times since the malevolent Red Queen took over the throne. It is, however, a truly wonderful land, which might explain why the girl who mistook it for Wonderland has been called upon to help return it to its glory. But, says Woolverton, “Underland has always been Underland since the Beginning, no matter who sits on the throne. It will remain Underland until the End.”
ABSOLEM, THE CATERPILLAR (voice of Alan Rickman) is the all-knowing and absolute guardian of the Oraculum, an ancient document that depicts every major event, past, present and future, in Underland’s history. Alice is taken by the White Rabbit and the Tweedles to meet Absolem, so that he can ascertain whether she is, in fact, the real Alice who first visited Underland as a child, the Alice who is destined to help them. They find the bulbous blue caterpillar atop a mushroom in a mushroom forest surrounded by misty smoke. Several times Absolem challenges Alice to come to a better understanding of herself, forcing her to face the difficult question: “Who are you?”
MALLYMKUN, THE DORMOUSE (voice of Barbara Windsor) is a swashbuckling mouse in Underland who wears riding breeches. She refuses to believe that the White Rabbit has found the right Alice, the one who can help return Underland to its true splendor, and is only too happy to poke poor Alice in the ankle with a hat pin when Alice insists she’s only dreaming. But the tough little mouse comes through in a pinch when Alice is threatened by a clawing creature called a Bandersnatch. Her loyalty to the Hatter is unmatched, and she willingly faces the prospect of death to stand by him.
ILOSOVIC STAYNE, THE KNAVE OF HEARTS (Crispin Glover) is the head of the Red Queen’s Army. Seven feet, six-inches tall, with a scarred face and a heart-shaped patch covering his left eye, Stayne is an arrogant, tricky character who follows the Red Queen’s every order. He’s the only one capable of pacifying her and calming her dramatic mood swings. “I am the martial element for the Red Queen,” says Glover. “The Red Queen has a fair amount of short-tempered reactions to things that people do, and so my character has to be quite diplomatic.” His darker side emerges in the shadows of the castle hallways.
IRACEBETH, THE RED QUEEN (Helena Bonham Carter) is the tyrannical monarch of Underland. With her oversized head, fiery temper and propensity to scream for people’s heads to be chopped off, she rules her subjects through fear. “She’s got emotional problems,” says Bonham Carter. “It takes nothing, practically, for her to lose her temper. Her tantrums are that of a two-year-old.” Her younger sibling, the White Queen, has designs on the throne and crown that Iracebeth once stole from her.TMCTWISP, THE WHITE RABBIT (voice of Michael Sheen) is always late, always in a hurry, always rushing about. Charged with finding Alice and bringing her back to Underland so that she can fulfill her destiny, he shows up at her garden party in an effort to lure her back down the rabbit hole. “He’s a warm character,” says Sheen, “but, at the same time, he can be quite fussy and quite strict with Alice as well. He has an edge to him, a nervous energy, always feeling like he’s behind time. Time is very important to him, but he’s quite brave when called upon.”
MIRANA, THE WHITE QUEEN (Anne Hathaway) is the younger sister of the Red Queen, and while she appears to be all sweetness and light, beneath the surface there’s a hint of darkness to her character. “She comes from the same gene pool as the Red Queen,” says Hathaway. “She really likes the dark side, but she’s so scared of going too far into it that she’s made everything appear very light and happy. But she’s living in that place out of fear that she won’t be able to control herself.” When Alice returns to Underland, the White Queen takes her under her wing, offering her protection, although her motives aren’t completely altruistic.
TWEEDLEDEE and TWEEDLEDUM (Matt Lucas) are rotund twin brothers who constantly disagree with each other and whose confusing chatter makes little sense to anyone but them. When Alice arrives in Underland, she looks to the Tweedles for guidance. Innocent and infantile, adorable and sweet, they mean well but are of little real help since they speak in weird rhythms and riddles. “I imagine them as naughty Victorian children, with their hand in the honey jar,” says Lucas, the British comedian and actor who plays them both. “And so I have made them quite child-like, which does come naturally to me, because I’m a big kid anyway.”
THE DODO (voice of Michael Gough) is one of the first residents of Underland Alice sees upon entering the fantastical world. One of the oldest Underland inhabitants, the Dodo wears eye-glasses and carries a walking stick. Both quiet and wise, he stops his friends bickering over Alice’s true identity by suggesting they bring her to the even wiser Absolem.
BAYARD THE BLOODHOUND (voice of Timothy Spall) is an unwilling accomplice to the Red Queen’s forces, fearful that his imprisoned wife and pups will be injured if he doesn’t do Stayne’s bidding. He proves to be secretively loyal to the Underland Underground resistance, becoming both Alice’s ally and a rather convenient transportation system.
THE BANDERSNATCH is a disgusting, drooling, foul-smelling creature with a big filthy body and the squashed, teeth-baring face of a rabid bulldog. A swipe of his long claws leaves Alice with a rather painful reminder of the Red Queen’s horrible reign.

Kevin Alejandro as previously reported , was cast in the upcoming third season of Alan Ball's hit series for HBO True Blood. Alejandro will play Jesus, a caretaker for Lafayette's mother (Alfre Woodard), as well as a love interest for Lafayette (fan-favourite Nelsan Ellis).
[caption id="attachment_2307" align="alignright" width="445" caption="True Blood Season 3 - Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) hooks up with Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis)"][/caption]
Alejandro, who's appeared in everything from Southland to Ugly Betty to Weeds spoke with Entertainment Weekly about what fans can expect from him on True Blood. Here's an excerpt from the EW interview:
What can you tell us about your character?I'm introduced pretty early in this next season as a caretaker for Lafayette's mother, who is played by Alfre Woodard. I'm his love interest... that's all I can say. It unwinds tremendously. I mean, you know True Blood. There's a lot of stuff going on. I got lucky. It's one of the shows that I watch and love, and now I get to be (a part of it).
Is your character a vampire? That I cannot tell you. I really don't know. The (showrunners) are really good at keeping it secret from everyone. I think it's kind-of cool not knowing.
Alejandro also spoke with MTV about his character, which was specifically created by Alan Ball for True Blood as "Lafayette" died in the first Sookie Stackhouse novel.
"I've never really played a strong gay character or anything like that," Alejandro told MTV. "[Alan] gives me little hints of who [Jesus] might be and what he might be going through, so I'll research those things, like what makes up that guy."What Kevin does know about Jesus... is that he's a hospital orderly who takes care of Lafayette's mother, played by acclaimed actor Alfre Woodard. In fact, Kevin said his first scene on his first day of shooting was with Alfre. "I'm sitting there holding a bowl of peas, because I'm feeding her — she's in the hospital. I'm sitting there and she's spitting peas at me and I'm like 'Wow, Alfre Woodard is really spitting peas at me.'"

"Too Much Respect"
Rob gets medical attention and accepts his fate.
Preview Episode 3 of Survivor: Heroes vs Villains
Survivor 20, Episode 3 Heroes vs. VilliansJames’ attack against Stephenie led both Colby and her Palau castmate Tom to defend her. Tom told James he was “bullying people.” But in the end, everyone voted with James and Rupert except for Colby and Tom, which means they’re probably next in line to go.
Stephenie tried to lecture her tribe on the way out, mocking James’ use of the term “ya’ll” in the process — “next time ya’ll lose a challenge, a little less cursing” — but James told her, “Keep your mouth shut.”
But it’s James who might want to take his own advice and shut the heck up, because although he’s in the majority now, that can change quickly on “Survivor.”

Why did you want to come back to “Survivor?” I had always said to Kyle, “I love the game, I love to compete, I love the show.” I haven’t won, so why not keep trying until you win, basically. I said to him from the very beginning if I’m ever asked to come back, especially for an All-Star season, I’m gonna do it. No matter where we are in life, if I can do it, I’m going to do it. It’s funny because we got engaged July 13 and literally July 15 I got the call to come back. It was an honor to be asked back. I knew going into it I would be a huge target. I knew I would probably go if not first, then extremely early on. I was outnumbered and they got me. Why do you think the Heroes couldn’t gel as a tribe right off the bat and the Villains seemed to, because we’ll be honest, we thought it would be the other way around. So did we. We definitely did. We had all these great characters. I’d never met any of them personally except for Tom, so there was Colby and Rupert and Cirie and I was like, “Wow.” But then here we are day one and Rupert’s telling everybody what to do. Rupert is ultimate “Survivor” guy, you can’t do anything unless Rupert says it’s okay. Then you got James talking inappropriate about girls and all the free stuff he’s gotten after “Survivor” and Amanda’s over there smiling, modeling for the camera and me, Tom and Colby are like,”What is going on? It’s unbelievable.” Immediately there was a division. Physically we’re the stronger tribe and then it comes down to a puzzle and our puzzle people are not really that great at puzzles. And the Villains have Boston Rob so he is carrying that entire tribe on his back because he’s so damn good at puzzles. We’re a mess because there’s so many egos in the Heroes tribe, it was brutal. Me, Tom and Colby were extremely quiet this time around because you don’t want to piss anybody off. It wasn’t a fun environment and it’s really because of [Rupert and James], they made it not fun. We were very divided and I think it’s only gonna get worse for them.

Note to Jeff Probst: You may want to change your intro on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, because tonight’s episode proved that it is so not the Villains with the “ruthless cunning and backstabbing!”
In another electrifying hour, we witnessed the Heroes tribe disintegrate while the Villains (OK, one Villain and his minions) again triumphed over adversity. Here’s what you need to know…
WHAT WENT DOWN
“Get Help!” Did Rob actually say these words—about himself? Thanks to the previews, at least we had time to prepare for the felling of the Robfather, who passed out from dehydration/disgust with his tribe. More shocking than “Get help!” was this dazed declaration to Jeff Probst: “I’m sorry. I feel like it’s getting the best of me.” Fortunately for us (and face it, the Villains), the tribe’s “bright shining star” (per Courtney) quickly recovered his sparkle.Crybabyitis: “When I finally came to,” said Rob, “I had a moment of clarity, And that was stop trying to be the good guy. Because I’m trying to be so good, I physically made myself sick. Just do what everybody wants you to do and be the villain. The doctors checked me out, basically told me I have the flu and a little bitty case of crybabyitis. [But now] I gotta start smacking ‘em into shape.” Atta boy!
Puzzled, Again: Despite their hefty lead in the Immunity and Reward Challenge’s physical first half (come on, Colby, James, Tom and J.T. against everyone not named Rob?), the Heroes were stymied again trying to solve the building-block puzzle. While Rob (surprise!) barked orders to his obedient tribe, the Heroes were “talking trash to each other—not a good sign,” proclaimed Probst, who later added, “The group of misfit Villains [took] the Heroes to the cleaners.” Aw.

If I learned anything from Thursday night’s episode of “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains,” it’s that I’d rather live with a bunch of heroes, but I’d rather go into war with villains. It’s no coincidence that JT and Cirie and Tom and Rupert have the better camp life. Everybody works hard, nobody complains and as a result there’s a leak-free shelter and good spirits. Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom… I mean the villains’ camp, they have gone through five different shelter constructions, all of which leak. With the exception of Boston Rob (more on him later), nobody works hard and everybody whines and is self-involved. At one point, Jerri says they’re going to “spiral down into a pit of negativity.” Speak the truth, sister. I’d rather watch the complete series of “According to Jim” than live in the jungle with Coach and Randy and Tyson. There’s no question who I’d rather go into battle with, though. Once again, the villains kicked major butt in the immunity challenge for one simple reason: They have a very smart dictator and they’re willing to take orders. This, my friends, is why the Army is not a democracy.

LATimes blogStephenie interviews that they need to get the weakest out first, so of course they should get rid of … Amanda? Really? Tom talks to Candice about how she is the swing vote, and she expresses concern. Watch out — how many times has the undecided swing voter become the target? Candice and Cirie talk it out and decide to work together. Cirie tells her that everyone things Amanda and she are so close, but when Amanda picked Parvati over her, “she cost me a million dollars.” They try to decide what to do. Cirie says as long as it isn’t me, “I don’t much care.”
At tribal council, James starts attacking Stephenie, saying there was “one individual” who messed things up. She tries to defend herself, James doesn’t let her speak. Colby steps in and starts yelling back at James, and he says, OK, fine, it was the two of you who screwed it up. Tom says he might as well blame it on all three of them since they’re together.
Man, I’d forgotten about Amanda’s Tribal Council Sadface. Anyway, she is also concerned about her standing the game.
Voting time! Jeff’s favorite time: Tallying! Steph, Amanda, “Stef,” Amanda, Steph, Amanda, Stephanie (with a heart), Stephenie. So … bye, Steph!
“Some advice, next time ‘y’all’ lose a challenge, a little less cursing out your tribe would help,” she tells them. “Keep your mouth shut,” James responds.
Meow! There’s more lovey-dovey attitude on the other tribe. Who would’ve guessed?

After the jump (Below): Survivor Heroes vs Villains - Episode 2 Photos
Stephenie: The Day After TribalIn regard to Jeff Probst's opinion/advice to the Heroes team, who have now sent themselves to the first two Tribal Councils: I completely agree that it is STUPID to ditch Stephenie so early in the game. The so-called "Heroes" are thinking with their hearts (so to speak) instead of their heads--and that is putting it nicely. As Jeff put it,"Voting out great players (like Stephenie) in the second week is idiotic...(because) it almost always works against you."
Here's what Jeff has to say about the Rob-father's jungle floor adventure: "When the doctors and I first got to Rob at camp, he was flat out on his side. Flat out. He was shaking uncontrollably and he was slobbering from the mouth. I knew it was bad because Rob is not the kind of guy who ever complains about physical pain. He’ll complain about damn near everything else, but he’s pretty self-contained when it comes to pain. He was out of it. Before the docs diagnosed it as merely the flu, I thought he was going to have to be evacuated."
There is buzz on the 'nets that Rob faked his fall into unconsciousness but Probst seems to give validation that it was real not faked, based on crew and native Samoans who succumbed to the "Samoa flu," an especially nasty bug.
Be sure to read Jeff Probst's entire blog article as it is very informative and at times extremely amusing in it's bluntness. The Jeff you see on Survivor is the Jeff whose voice you hear in the blogs.
Jeff Probst blogs 'Survivor: Heroes vs Villains': Episode 2
Oh, one more thing. Boston Rob's passing out has pretty much been overshadowed by what an ass James Clement has made of himself by being a (quite literally) big bully. How a guy that came across as gallant in previous shows has changed so much is a mystery--or is it? Sad to even consider this but could James have been using steroids prior to coming out to Samoa? Also sad to say, this once favourite Survivor should now be a serious contender for next boot.
Even Probst says, "I would have to seriously consider getting rid of James. I know he’s the strongest guy to ever play this game, but his attitude is just not there and that is more damaging long term than his biceps are helpful short term... ... He caused as much disharmony with his running around as Stephenie did by talking during the challenge. But it was his outburst at tribal council that was most unnerving."
Gah! I agree. James just would not stop picking at Stephenie and she was not gonna take his trash-talk. She ended up being picked on (then booted!) and he ended up looking like a jerk.

Industrial area building distortion.
Separated at birth?
Sears (now Willis) Tower as seen from the Kennedy Expressway.
The other tall building around here--the John Hancock has the unfortunate distinction of having been the tallest structure in the USA--then it lost it's title to the World Trade Center. I'm guessing I don't have to say more other than the John Hancock Tower is the tallest man-made structure in the USA.
Just a quick homage to my 2003 Zinc Yellow Mustang GT.
I think I took my last top down ride for the year--that was two in the first week of November.
People hesitate to buy a convertible whilst living in a place like here with less than ideal--crap--weather for a good chunk of the year. The answer is a) it's too fun not to, and b) you can do it 7 months of the year.
I love my car for what it is every. single. ride. A fun machine.

I realize I don't post _anything_ personal anymore. I remember enjoying interacting with the dozens of people I met online and regarded as friends. Now I think I need to "say something" before I blog and think if I wrote what I feel I'd offend so I self-censor. Conversely, if I don't write what I feel I get no feedback nor satisfaction having gotten it down.
Yes. I suppose I am feeling reflective and conflicted.

Season 20, Episode 1
The episode started with a great challenge, a violent fight in the dirt that left Sugar to run to the finish line topless (Sandra unclipped her bikini top when they were wrestling, as if it was possible to love Sandra even more) and saw Colby dragging Coach and then Coach dragging Colby, never mind JT mounting Randy and Cirie throwing people to the ground left and right. More significantly, Rupert broke his toe and Stephenie dislocated her shoulder as Courtney encouraged Parvati to “break her shoulder.” Medical popped it back into place, which was more horrifying than whatever Tyson was wearing as underwear.
'Survivor' evictee Sugar to Sandra: 'Don't undo my bra, bitch!'
Previous Survivor 'Topless Sugar" scene post
From EW.com February 12th, 2010
S20xE01 - Survivor Heroes vs Villains
Q: Let’s talk about your big topless scene. First off, was Sandra trying to undo your bra or did it just come undone...? Sugar -
A: Unless we were making love, no. She totally undid it, and I literally said, “Don’t undo my bra, bitch!” I remember thinking, she thinks I’m going to put my bra back on and that she’s got me and just has to worry about them. So I was like, roll out of it, grab the bag and make the point. So that’s what I did because I wanted to prove that I was trying to win this time — that I was going to do my damnedest in the challenges to prove myself. I thought that would work.
Q: Who exactly were you flipping off?
Sandra?
All the Villains?
Jeff Probst?
Sugar: I was looking at everybody. It was supposed to be toward Sandra, but I was kinda shooting everybody off. [Laughs] Yeah, I was totally flipping off Jeff. He knows it and he knows why.
Q: So the situation with Colby: They really made you out to be a stalker in that scene.
Sugar: They want to make me look like Jerri No. 2. That’s fine with me. Yeah, that was like five seconds out of three days that I was there. That’s cool. I don’t mind my edit.

Survivor: Heroes vs Villains - Sugar
In the first challenge of the season, the Heroes take on the Villains to win fire in the form of flint
..."I didn’t know a lot of people because I didn’t know most of their seasons. I went in blind. Blonde and blind!”With ten of the most beloved players in Survivor history pitted against ten of the most villainous, there was never a doubt that the opening episode of Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains would be anything less than explosive! Unfortunately for Heroes Tribe member Jessica ‘Sugar’ Kiper, her return to the show ended abruptly last night as she became the first castaway to get the boot at Tribal Council. We caught up with the singer and actress – who finished second runner-up on Survivor: Gabon – to find out how she was feeling.
Was there anyone you were starstruck to be playing with?
![]()
“Yeah, me! I was like, ‘How am I on this season with all of these awesome people?! Rupert and Sugar!’ It’s kind of crazy! I wanted to get to know a lot of people because...
Source article at: Digital Spy
What was going through your mind, leading up to tribal council?
A. Sugar: I felt like I was at the Sugar Shack but there was no food and nobody liked me. I was so alone but yet, there were people all around me. I don’t think Colby tried to understand me. That whole thing with him is hilarious that it looked like that. I don’t even like him for that. I had the hots for JT, but not anymore!
Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains / Survivor: Heroes vs Villains - James
I was totally was not going to watch Survivor: Heroes vs. Villians as I quit Survivor in the edition in which Coach, Randy & Courtney were a part. Overall, I really dig the show though, the locales are pretty, a lot of it is edited to be funny, so when I saw that James, Amanda, Stephenie, Sugar, Colby and his arch nemesis from the Australian Outback Jerri was on board I asked spouse if he was interested. He was so we watched the premiere, S20x01 tonight. Also, I have a lot of previous material on some of these players if you are looking for more photos of them or background in general--which could clue you in to what they may be playing like--or not. Just use the Lijit Wijit Search in my sidebar--or click those links there right above to find out more about the players I mentioned and a few more.
Much more later.

[caption id="attachment_2298" align="alignright" width="450" caption="Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Sookie (Anna Paquin) - True Blood Season 2"]
[/caption]
True Blood's Alexander Skarsgård has promised fans that an upcoming romance plot is genuine.
The 33-year-old Swedish actor - Eric Northman on the HBO series - told Digital Spy that his alter ego's feelings for Anna Paquin's Sookie are real.
"He's intrigued by her, for sure. When he meets her for the first time, he knows there's something different about her and that intrigues him.
"He doesn't care too much for humans in general - he thinks they're pathetic - but when he meets her, there's something about her. He can't put his finger on it, but he's curious for sure."
Skarsgård also dismissed claims that the plot is a case of 'forbidden fruit' and suggested that Eric could crush Stephen Moyer's Bill Compton in a fight.
Sookie aside, is there anyone else in the show at the moment that Eric would be a good match for?
"I don't know, man. He's already got his Pam - even though that's not a sexual thing, he's got his partner. For sexual attraction, it's all about Sookie."How far into the third season will we see them acting on the attraction?
"I don't know - we start filming next month and I haven't seen the script yet! I don't know what's gonna happen. But it's building up..."Alan Ball has hinted that the Queen of Louisiana will get her comeuppance this season. Will Eric have anything to do with that?
"They have this little business on the side so they'll definitely interact more, I'm sure. Maybe they'll get punished for that - I don't know...."
Beware! True Spoilers if you click!
Hm. I'm wondering if Alex was responding to questions about how close Alan Ball will be following the Sookie Stackhouse series (of books) in which Sookie found Eric at the side of the road, bedraggled and without memory of who he was? She took him in and in that period ( weeks?) he feel madly in love with her--and she had "real" feelings for him as well.
Alan Ball grants interviews frequently (and I must say he is quite charming, witty-- and frank). In a recent interview he stated that the longer HBO's True Blood series continues, the further away from Charlaine Harris's books he's going to get, inevitably. It makes sense as he introduces new characters, eliminates some others--it seems that it would change the storylines in an almost exponential way.
For me, as long as the True Blood series remains fun and exciting as well as brilliantly written, acted, directed, staged--I don't ask for much, lol--I'm on board.

TRUE BLOOD'S "Tara," Rutina Wesley, and husband Jacob Fishel:
I'm not usually one to go for "on-the-street photographs" of True Blood (or any other) actors during their off time--unless they are clearly not being ambushed--as is the case here with the adorable Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton). (Does anyone have a prettier smile than she? I thought not!) I'd not even considered that she might be married as I've not seen her pictured previously with anyone identified as her spouse. But here's pictorial evidence that the True Blood cutie goes home to a cutie of her own--husband Jacob Fishel, who she is pictured with shopping in Hollywood just yesterday (2.12.10). Big thanks to source True Blood's Nest.

University of Andy / U of Andy: Valentines Day
The ultimate Valentine's Day guide. Suitable for husbands, boyfriends and singles!
Oh noes! I hadn't even realized that classes have resumed at the University of Andy! I've posted these three because there is sort of an over-arching theme: 'V-Day' (love), 'Threesomes' (sex) and Surviving the Cold (see 'Threesomes'). You must watch the 'Valentines' video straight away because Justin Kirk's deadpan delivery of what you should know to survive V-Day will make you smile--but you will miss Uncle Andy all the more. The videos are a good sign that we'll be seeing Botwin(s) & Co. sometime this year but I have no idea when. Going to have to look into Showtime's schedule to see what's up. Leave a comment if you know, please and thank you!University of Andy / U of Andy: Threesomes ,/p>

(Concert details below)
You may have heard The Temper Trap's first American hit, Sweet Disposition, on the soundtrack of 500 Days of Summer (it is in the film as well) or heard it pop up in a variety of commercial campaigns. It's extremely catchy, featuring excellent guitar riffs and the truly beautiful falsetto of lead singer Dougie Mandagi.
Just in case you are curious to hear another dimension of The Temper Trap, I've included a recently released second song of theirs, "Fader" that I really love. It is a little less sweet-sounding and a bit more uptempo than Sweet Disposition. "Fader's" unique sound definitely rocks . In other words, The Temper Trap are not sticking to a formula.
According to frontman Dougy Mandagi , Radiohead, Prince, Massive and U2 influenced the band’s dreamy, atmospheric feel and infectious, arena-rock-size guitar riffs. I agree with his assessment but The Temper Trap has a sound of its own, one that I know a broad audience can embrace.
You should have The Temper Trap on your mp3 player (if you don't already) but I love live shows too so am completely jazzed to hear that they are on their way over to the United States and Canada very soon! The band will be touring cross-country and as my luck would have it they'll be playing in the nearby Windy City, or as one band member explained, they'll tour "in the middle" after gigs on the west coast and before heading east. I've included their tour schedule below, after the jump.
Give 'em a listen. After that, take TTT bassist's Johnny Aherne's advice, "If you like rock music you should get it."
The new video from The Temper Trap for their latest single Fader. Released in the UK 4th January 2010
You've heard The Temper Trap's single SWEET DISPOSITION on the 500 DAYS OF SUMMER soundtrack, now check out the exclusive interview with the guys at the world famous Roxy on Sunset Strip to get the scoop on their new album Conditions.
A representative of the band's music asked if I would give the The Temper Trap's debut album, "Conditions' a listen. I did. It's great. All opinions in this post are 100% mine.

Oh, this is so lovely. I cannot wait to see this film! And I have waited too long already. It only became available here in sprawling suburbia last week. Jeff Bridges must have had to prove himself I suppose, by winning Best Actor from the Screen Actor's Guild as well as a Golden Globe in the same category. Now he's up for an Academy Award (an Oscar) for Best Actor so his little film is finally, deservedly getting some big exposure. Excited too, to see Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance. She is also nominated for an Academy Award.
<Just have to add that he is among the most polite, gracious, humble and down-to-earth actors I've ever seen interviewed. Guess who I'm rooting for to win the Best Actor Oscar?
"Hollywood 411's Megan Tevrizian talks to CRAZY HEART star Jeff Bridges about his latest Academy Award nomination. Jeff talks about being a 5-time nominee, his co-star Maggie Gyllenhaal's nom and his involvement in WE ARE THE WORLD."
."Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell sing at a Toby Keith concert on September 18, 2008 in Albuquerque NM while filming the movie Crazy Heart."

[caption id="attachment_2271" align="alignright" width="220" caption="Brit Morgan, just cast as Debbie Pelt "][/caption]
After a long, exhaustive search, True Blood showrunner Alan Ball has cast a character who is to be one of a "triumvirate of evil." The executive producer continued, describing Debbie Pelt as "bad to the bone... not just crazy... evil.”
... Actress Brit Morgan — best known from ABC Family’s short-lived drama The Middleman — has scored the pivotal role of Debbie Pelt, the psycho ex girlfriend of werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello).Last month, exec producer Alan Ball told me that the juicy part — already a major component of the show’s upcoming third season — was being beefed up. “She’s going to be in more episodes,” he said, “so maybe that will have an impact on [what actress] we can get for her, which is a big question right now.”
With that question now answered, all of Season 3’s major roles have been cast.
Except for Denis O'Hare and Alfre Woodard, Alan Ball went with largely little-known actors for the new cast additions to "True Blood" this season.
Morgan joins fellow new cast members Manganiello, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler, Lindsay Pulsipher and Cooper Huckabee, as well as J. Smith-Cameron and veteran actress, Alfre Woodard.
OK. This casting call (below) cracked me up--and was sort of arousing. Can you imagine how many ladies would jump at this chance? I know it's only make-beleive but still, "Eric kisses her passionately and fondles her breasts." True Blood does not spare the sexy!
[BUXOM SWEDISH SERVANT GIRL] Female, 20's, Attractive. This servant girl is seen in a flashback to 900 AD with Eric (ALEXANDER SKARSGARD). Eric kisses her passionately and fondles her breasts. ROLE HAS NO LINES AND WILL REQUIRE PARTIAL TOPLESS NUDITY

Oh cool! We are meeting Eric's family! Did we know before that he was an actual prince? Now we know when he developed that 'tude.

Well, cool! Now we can say that Nurse Jackie returns to Showtime next month!
And since this is the shortest month of the year, we have that much less time to wait, right?
Anyhoo, Peter Facinelli is doing his level best to keep Missing Jackie Angst to a minimum by putting together Dr. Coop Video Diaries. Here are parts 1 & 2.
Dr. Coop Video Diary Part One "Peter Facinelli, Dr. Fitch Cooper on Nurse Jackie, takes viewers behind the scenes while shooting the second season of Nurse Jackie.""Peter Facinelli continues his behind the scenes tour and gives us an inside look as the crew wraps up the second season."
