New Season Premiere October 12 Sundays 9/8c on AMC. For more The Walking Dead videos:http://goo.gl/qJOZ6n
True, there are "few noticeable new scenes," but there is heavy, spoiler-ish hinting about how Carol infiltrates Terminus and probably sets off the events that lead to the escape of Rick and Co.
The shots above are rather visceral in conveying how close Rick and the gang come to annihilation with it looking more and more from the previews that Carol will be their saviour. That oughta be one for Rick to digest about for 30 seconds, then after hearing how she's been taking care of his daughter for him, offer his thanks and apologies to Carol!
There is time-jumping throughout the preview video so really, you can glean the most meaning from body language and facial expressions in specific shots (that can run for seconds).
Like for example, here: The group is moving, it doesn't appear they have been away from Terminus for too long. One would think Maggie and Glenn would practically be holding hands but instead, Michonne walks almost between them with Glenn looking intense and distant, Maggie looking intense and concerned, and Michonne looking intense and angry. What's going on? I have no clue. (Submit your guesses in the comments, if you like that sort of thing.)
Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) a/k/a Mullet Guy, coming up back. Why are the three in front looking pissed at one another?
And, what's up here? Why are Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) separated from the group--at night? Did she consent to try to find Beth before everyone moves on? If that's the case, why wouldn't Maggie insist on going? Unless she did, and she and Glenn had their first marital spat about it (see two photos above).
Previously (we think) Carol dressed up special for the jail break:
Melissa McBride's character Carol on The Walking Dead, was deemed useless by many who couldn't have foreseen the dramatic transformation in her from a meek, passive victim to an assertive, combat-ready survivor. Those of us with imagination, could and did. and are still rooting for Carol.
Many more great shots from the NEW (9.22) The Walking Dead Promo for Season Five after the jump:
