Jeff Probst Blogs Survivor Tocantins Episode Two : Best excerpt from Jeff about Episode 2: Here's a fact I've never admitted before. I secretly pray for rain every time we do a challenge. I love it when it rains. Not just because it turns me on a little bit, but also because it adds so much to the look and play of a Survivor challenge. It amps up the drama, it makes the shots look that much ''cooler,'' and like I said, I just like being wet. Anytime it's raining, just know that I'm happy...and yes, a bit turned on. Is that wrong? Or weird?

Hey there Fellow Survivor watching-types!
I just tonight had a chance to view Episodes 1 and 2 of the NEW Season-18 Survivor: Tocantins (Brazil).
Since two could've-been Survivors have been voted off already the show is in full swing and I'll be recapping it through it's finish each Friday. I often add bits and pieces throughout each week so be sure to check back.
One of the funniest things about the shows this week didn't even take place on the show. As many of you may know, the host of Survivor, Jeff Probst keeps a blog and after each episode airs he quite literally tells you exactly what he thought of it and how the survivors played and behaved in general. If you haven't' been reading it, I recommend it highly. Here is Jeff Probst blogs Survivor Tocantins Episode One and Jeff Probst Blogs Survivor Tocantins Episode Two.
What I love about Probst's blogs is that he doesn't seem to care about what is PC or offending anyone's sensibilities. In other words he tells it exactly as it is. Read the paragraph at the top of my blog page to see why Jeff secretly loves it when it rains during a challenge. If your mind is wandering towards the "gutter" you are going in the right direction!
Be sure too to check out the Official CBS site for Survivor: Tocantins. They're doing a very nice job this season of providing many behind the scenes interviews --sort of like extra "confessionals," as well as the exit interviews that are done each time a person is kicked off the tribe. I've put up several of the more interesting ones but there are at least a dozen fresh videos besides the full-length episodes so check 'em out!

Termite Feast
Episode 2
Clip (2:04)
Desperate for a source of protein, the Jalapao tribe feasts on termites.
Meanwhile...Sandy was dropped off by the helicopter at the Jalapao camp. She celebrated by talking to herself, then crying, then giving herself a pep talk, and then crying some more. She finally stopped shedding tears long enough to read a note that told her there was a hidden immunity idol at her camp. Oh, the dilemma — to help set up camp (and try to get in the others' good graces) or spend your time searching for the hidden immunity idol? Proving she is a maverick in the truest sense, Sandy instead decided...to do neither! This was especially shocking considering how insanely easy HIIs are to find these days on Survivor... Had Sandy used her time wisely — and knew what the hell a "pace" was — she could have easily found the idol and done enough around camp to make it look like she had been working there as well. Instead, she accomplished absolutely nothing except creeping all of America out by stuffing her idol clue into her bra and asking if her boobs looked even.
The challenge involved people going on to retrieve puzzle pieces that would then be used as steps to build stairs, followed by another puzzle that would release the tribe flag. But all of that was secondary to the main purpose of the challenge, which was to feature as many gratuitous boob shots of Carolina as possible.
