True Blood Season 5: Episode 56 Clip - 'What Happened?' Sneak Peek (VIDEO):
Watch a scene from Episode 56 of True Blood Season 5.
Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) was in the midst of a blood frenzy with the rest of the vampires in a bar on Bourbon Street when his and Nora's (Lucy Griffiths) deceased maker,'Godric,' made an appearance and called him out as doing 'wrong.' Godric instructed Eric to reign in his sister in as though Eric knew better (than to go on a feeding frenzy), Nora did not. Unfortunately, all the other vampires are behaving as Nora, in a state of hallucinogenic blood-lust and they appear not to have any concerns about how many humans they consume. Even worse, Bill (Stephen Moyer) appears to genuinely be buying into their new openly-proclaimed 'Sanguinista' philosophy that humans are simply a food source for vampires.

True Blood Episode 5.08: Somebody That I Used to Know:
| From True Blood - NEW Episode 5.08 (#56) Sneak Peeks Promo VIDEO Screencaps (HBO) Update! |
Despite some retconning on the part of True Blood writers regarding Sookie's faery heritage--she is now 'half Fae,' versus the 'one-eighth Fae' that she's been stated to be in the series up to this point, they would really have to pull a hat trick to have Bill be the vampire who attacked and killed Sookie's parents. Sookie is supposed to only be in her late 20's: her parents died about 20 years ago and Bill was shown in the 1980's already mainstreaming. The numbers just do not add up to be Bill nor does this guy look anything like Bill. This then, to have the story come full circle so to speak, is Russell--the vampire with the power to smell faery blood on a band-aid in closed car, in a driving rainstorm, from how many yards away?

After the jump: True Blood's Lucy Griffiths on the "Aggressive" Vampire Civil War:
Will Nora and Eric ever have to go against each other this season?
Griffiths: They're not quite against each other and they never fight against each other, they fight between themselves. Their connection is very strong so if they are fighting it's for the sake of what's going on around them. It's personal as well, which makes it more dramatic. They don't get along all the time. They do fight.I hear we get to meet Lilith this season. What can you tell us about her?
Griffiths: I can tell you she is bloody powerful. Will her arrival be a turning point in the war between the vampires?
Griffiths: Yeah, all the characters realize, once you meet her, the effect that she has over people and that dictates the direction some of the characters go off in.Does everyone respect Lilith?
Griffiths: She is very powerful and very seductive. She thinks the weaker you are, the more easily she's got you in her grasp. There are so many characters in the Authority for her to have an effect on. How people do respond and how everybody reacts to that, their actions are dictated by how powerful she is.Do people actually believe she exists or when she arrives, will there be some skeptics?
Griffiths: Some people are so sure that she exists that when they see her they are not surprised. Some people are very skeptical before and after they see her. I guess the only thing you could really compare it to is a supreme being and how different humans feel about whether or not that is real.
