Is anyone wondering, like me if Sookie's faery godmother, Claudine changes too? I didn't see _any_ faeries that remained unchanged after Sookie zapped Queen Mab.
It's cool that Barry-the-bellboy popped up--but he had more face time in the books than he's yet had so I think they could give him something to do with the Fae storyline. He's a telepath which means he is valuable to just about everyone, it seems. And in the same amount of danger as Sookie. It would suck if they killed him off quickly.

There's not much time at all to savour the deliciousness that is the land of the Fae a/k/a 'Fairyland' before everything turns all maggoty in the first 6 minutes of True Blood Season 4.
The TB Season 4 premiere does not give our heroine, Sookie Stackhouse (the very awesome Anna Paquin), who has recently discovered that in addition to having a life-long, inherited, telepathic 'gift' she is also a small part 'faery' or one of the Fae, [Book SPOILER] due to a daliance Earl Stackhouse's (Gary Cole) wife (the lady that we knew for far too short a time as Sookie's 'Gran') had with Fintan, a human-Fae hybrid.
Neither Sookie nor the audience gets a heavy dose of the sugar-sweet, just-too 'happy' to-be-authentic,'Land of the Fae' before a very-weary-of-the-bullshite Sookie smells something bad. Indeed. The 'light fruit' is literally crawling with maggots. Ew.
Queen Mab has made her presence known and that she will have her WILL be done!
Alan Ball and Co. like to lead viewers down the rose petal-strewn garden path then take a sharp detour into some very dark, thorn-covered places. That's because at it's core, True Blood is savoury good fun but of the distinctly dark-humoured, horror-tinged kind:
So much for the snarky comments that Faeryland was going to stay laughably cheesy.
Season 4 looks like it gets off to a rollicking start.
Wait. What was that?
Oh, just 'Queen Mab' being sent sailing by Sookie's 'microwave fingers' across the courtyard into that knarled-up old tree. No biggie. She'd tried to have her minions (see above) force-feed sookie a light-fruit. Sookie reacted.
'Grandaddy, run!'
