Dr. Cooper vents to Jackie and Eddie
I'm both a tiny bit late and a wee bit early with my weekly Nurse Jackie post:
I drove cross-country. I'm on a coast!-- with spouse--no kids OR dogs! I'm in Maryland (instead of my home near Chicago).
I'm with spouse, my one sib. and his wife, and we are helping out my Dad with his house/ house stuff. My mom died in January and my dad will move back to the midwest when he can--but first--the house!
What did you think of Nurse Jackie episode 3.05 "Rat Falls?"
It was my favourite episode of season 3 so far because it was stuffed full of meaning and great moments and scenes.
For one, I've been wondering how Eddie and Jackie were going to proceed, post 'intervention' now that Eddie is pretty much Jackie's husband's best friend as well as her co-worker. The answer is, with caution.

Jackie took a stab at trying to boss Eddie around in his choice of dating her sister-in-law, 'Tunie' (Jaimie Alexander) but she wasn't insistent enough and he zinged her back that she was hardly in a position to tell him who to date.
Later though, in as about a low key way as Jackie gets, she asked him to not date Tunie, giving us and Eddie a signal that she is not yet over him.
I found the powerful scenes with the blue caplets that Jackie's takes each day really enlightening.
We've seen Jackie downing pills in every episode but not until now have we had a chance to see exactly, Just how big of an addict is Jackie?
Whatever the blue caplets are, Jackie takes 5 each day(!). She was shown to be running out in just over a week when she counted them out on a desk calendar, looking truly panicked.
Jackie finally caved and turned to the sort-of-slimy epileptic drug dealer for her fix. She had $200--what would that get her? The drug dealer slid a small box containing an AA coin for 30 days sobriety across the table to Jackie. She popped it open. Inside were 5 blue caplets. Only 5! I'm surmising that our Nurse Jackie has a $200- a-day pill habit which I imagine even blew her mind (it did, mine!) Definitely food for thought. What do you think? Is Jackie nearing 'rock bottom' or is she just now starting the journey in earnest?
