The first time I saw it was last week in a stand-alone theater 2 hours north of where I will see it again on New Year's Day.

I very much enjoyed it as I have a number of James Cameron's films.
Cameron's 'Aliens' is second to 'Alien' only by a hair--as no one could top the baby Alien bursting through John Hurt's chest in the original. Terminator, Titanic, The Abyss are great entertainment as well. Cameron doesn't so much 'make' a film as he crafts a film.
Back to AVATAR.
Last night I saw AVATAR for the second time--this time in 3-D. Against my better judgment, I did not pipe up when plans were made to leave only 20 minutes for us to get our tickets and seats.
We sat in the sixth row--separately--and I was sick---first a bad headache then fighting off nausea for most of the 2 hours, 43 minutes.

In an attempt to at last get it right, on New Year's Day we are making the 20 minute drive to the cinema an hour before the show. This time I'm asking how many seats are left because all there was for the 8 p.m. showing we attended was really close to the screen near the edges of the aisles.
