Special guest, Sheryl Crow, joins Miley Cyrus on stage to perform "If It Makes You Happy". VH1 is back with the legendary live concert event "VH1 Divas" hosted by Emmy and Grammy award winner Paula Abdul and featuring some of pop music's most talented female artists -- Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus. For the first time ever, these leading ladies at the top of their musical game perform together live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York. The concert was televised live on VH1 on Thursday, September 17 starting at 9:00pm.
That wasn't a too-bad way to hear Miley Cyrus for the first time. Sheryl Crow could have easily been Miley's mom, age-wise. Miley definitely had her own interpretation of the song. I give her lots of credit for enunciating, which Sheryl did not do much of on the song when it was first issued way back when. Great song, just the same. Sort of weird to hear Miley Cyrus belt out:
"Well OK, I still get stoned I not the kinda girl you bring home..."
