Spoilers for True Blood's Season Finale E12, "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'," lie within.

There may be some hints about what we will be seeing in Season 3 as well. Though the Sookie-Bill-Eric triangle has been very much implied to be something to look forward to, there is now photographic evidence of at least one reason Sookie may opt to take a break from Bill Compton. @Cyn Next to Bill, Sam and Hoyt tie for my second-favorite guys. Sam is awesome and loyal and sweet. Sookie had it right when she said there was nothing there not to love. I've heard they're going to being getting into the Weres next season, so hopefully Sam will have a big part in that story. And I think Hoyt is really awesome, too, for all the same reasons, although he'd better forgive Jessica pretty soon or I'm going to be a bit peeved with him. :)

Thank you both for your input! I've had a lot of fun trying to guess what's up next all through this, and last season as well. I think that one thing the True Blood writing team does really well is build things up and drive us crazy as we try to figure out everything.

I do have to confess, I love both Eric and Bill... and Sookie, Lafayette...the list is quite long but as far as the guy who I have the most empathy for and therefore I suppose I like best is Sam. He's flawed, yes. His answer to big problems is to flee but I think we'll see him grow as a character as he becomes more comfortable with his dual nature. He wasn't all that developed in the books so this is just a guess (hope, really).

I agree that the picture is more than likely a dream sequence. The setting with all that is going on in the episode with the handling of Maryann just seems highly unlikely.....The lights in the background almost looks like christmas lights....And, I agree the picture sort of creeps me out too, but I am not a Bill fan so that might color my judgement also.....

I'm inclined to think that the picture is real, for two reasons. 1) Bill and Sookie were actually (back) together at the end of Living Dead In Dallas. 2) Last season they ended the main plot with about ten minutes left, and skipped 2 weeks ahead to set up this season's plot, so there's no reason they couldn't be doing something similar this year. In support of that, there's another picture of Sam and Tara standing behind the bar at Merlotte's, with CH sitting at the bar doing her cameo. Obviously that doesn't happen during all the stuff with Maryanne, so it has to be after as well.

Sookie drinking Eric's blood means that sometimes she dreams about him now, but Eric doesn't actively participate in those dreams. DreamEric isn't like a little psychic avatar of his real self that he can send into Sookie's dreams and mess with what he wants, he's just the effect of the blood on Sookie's subconcious.

Really? I thought it was really sweet, myself. To me, Bill looks so disgustingly, sweetly in love in that pic, it could send a diabetic into sugar shock. And, I have to confess, that's exactly the way I like him. :)

I love Sookie and Bill and I do try to stay neutral when I speak of Sookie, Bill, and Eric. I've said previously that Bill is the better man but I agree with Sookie that there is darkness in him and I wish he'd be more truthful with her--rather than her possibly finding out later from someone else like Eric. I love the show, like to talk about it and as I said, I guess wrong about things about half the time. That includes now! :)
I also try not to bring up the books and what happened in them because a lot of people seem to think that the show will mimic them 100% but it seems that often that's not so. I really try to stick with just the things I see onscreen and make guesses from there. And that is all they are--guesses.

I, for one, am not looking forward to Sookie leaving Bill for Eric. There are plenty out there who also do not wish for the triangle. You have generalised!

I'm only speculating but I think that photograph with it's rich, surreal-like quality, is a dream or vision and I think Sookie is "Lorena." Simply a guess but I can see the dream morphing into something awful and bloody. How long can Bill keep that side of himself hidden from Sookie especially with Eric now actively trying to take her away from him? So Eric and Lorena are in cahoots with the same goal--breaking Sookie and Bill up. She spills all to Eric about Bill's dark past. Eric gets inside Sookie's head and the lovely dance turns into something very dark.
I'm wrong at least half the time but that photo creeps me out.

I feel like I'm missing something. Are there more than just that one batch of pictures? Cuz you said that there's photographic evidence of a reason that Sookie might leave Bill, but the only pic I can see with Bill in it is the one where he and Sookie are dancing, and looking very much in love.
