@Diana. Hi!
You are always welcome to post here, no apologies needed!
The producers of True Blood, between Season One and Two kept us guessing about Lafayette's fate. Even the other actors when asked, gave cryptic answers to direct questions about if Lafayette would return.
Now that we know that LaFayette survived Season One, information which seems to be true has been much more forthcoming.
The actor who plays Lafayette, Nelsan Ellis, has said on the record that he will continue through Season Two and probably into Season Three.
It seems that all our concern was for naught and that show runner Alan Ball never intended to kill off Lafayette. I know a bit more based on Mr. Ellis's recent statements about his character's fate but I won't spoil anything other than to say there appears to be no need to worry about Lafayette any more than we would about any other non-guest starring cast member (I hesitate to use the word "permanent").
If you want to know what Nelsan said about what's in store for his character, Layfayette--just ask--I'll be glad to share.
Cheers!
Cyn

Has anyone else noticed within the HBO/True Blood interactive sweepstakes (the graveyard postcard) the tombstone that lists a name of all the dead characters from season one that Lafayette is on it?!? This greatly disturbs me as he is my favorite character on the show. I understand he goes pretty quickly in the books or so I am told...I have not read them yet but bluk, seeing his name on the tombstone when you click on it... :(((.
Apologies if this is an inappropriate place to post but I don't like the forums and discussion boards on the fan site...there is just too much going on to focus or find out where is the correct place to post.
