Season Finale 1.12 - "You’ll Be the Death of Me"
Erik's utterance upon leaving Jessica the teenage vamp, with Bill, her maker. "Ah, ljuva frihet!." Translation: Oh, sweet freedom. True Blood Italia
Jason: I got no idea what you're talkin 'about. Orry : That’s smart. Don’t admit to anything.
Eggs: Sometimes good shit happens.
Sookie: (addressed to Renè) Don’t bother. Thinking about nothing ain’t possible. Trust me, everyone’s tried it around me. Sooner or later you’ll think about something. What’s kinda funny, is that… Your thoughts don’t have an accent.
Sookie: You're alive?
Bill: Technically, no.
I thought the music in this season finale was utilized to great effect and though I usually leave it to True Blood Italia to tell you all about it, the list is so neat I'm borrowing again.
- Claude Debussy - Prelude a l’apres-midi d’un faune - (Tara wakes up at the home of Maryann)
- The Royal Philarmonic Orchestra - Fantasy Pieces- Why? (Tara breakfast)
- Christine’s Tune (Devil in Disguise) - The Flying Burrito Brothers - (Renè sings)
- Ray LaMontagne - Trouble - Ray Lamontagne - Trouble - (Sookie goes to fetch the ice tea as Rene prepares for the kill; Sam asks where Sookie is.)

"Jessica" (Deborah Ann Woll) Episode 11 "Jessica" Episode 12 (finale)
Season One Of True Blood was based on Dead Until Dark, Charlaine Harris' first book in the series and in the Sookie Stackhouse series. The next is based on the second, Living Dead in Dallas, which finds Sookie spending time in that city. Several characters "get involved in what they think is a legitimate church," Ball says. And a new creature "will create much havoc and chaos."
I wonder if the "new creature" that "will create much havoc and chaos" is Michelle Forbes' character, Maryann Forrester*?
Spoiler:*who is said to be playing a maenad [MEE-nad] a female worshiper of Dionysus, the Greek god of mystery, wine and intoxication. The word literally translates as "raving ones".
Production will resume in January in Los Angeles and Louisiana, and the show will return with 12 new episodes next summer, a very short break--especially for HBO.
