Synopsis:
Numbed by tragedy, Sookie looks for refuge from the cacophony of her friends’ and neighbors’ inner voices. After lashing out at his sister and decking Andy, Jason wrestles with withdrawal symptoms from his V juice habit. Tara resists the overtures of her mother Lettie Mae (Adina Porter), who’s trying to rid herself of a demon and needs her daughter’s help. Sam and Tara make a connection in their mutual search for “something real.”
Just when you thought things couldn't get worse some crazy creature goes and slices poor Gran to pieces. As Bill said when being interviewed by Bon Temps finest, the intended victim was most probably Sookie, not her grandmother. Regardless, Sookie was the one who discovered the body and who cleaned up the remnants of the bloodbath after Gran's corpse was taken away.
This pushed Sookie over the edge and she became unable to block out the thoughts of the swarm of people around her (Gran was much beloved). Finally, as she was giving a eulogy for Gran, Sookie burst out with "shut the fuck up" to all in attendance then ran from the cemetery. Just prior to the service Jason came home still high on V and smacked her in the face for "killing Gran." Then Jason made the brilliant gesture of inviting Gran's estranged brother to the funeral, the same guy who had molested Sookie as a child.
This powerful episode ended with Sookie literally running to Bill and throwing herself into his arms. They consummated their relationship both sexually and through another exchange of blood, this time from Sookie to Bill.

They are not kiding in the new promotions for it where they quote from online True Blood fans. The show is compelling. And yeah, very sexy.
I watch every episode at least twice.
I'll bet it has a good-size female audience but I think it'd be fun for anyone over age say, 17.

My wife was watching this episode and was laughing one minute and crying the next. I think she found her new (adult) version of Buffy.
