The most extreme way I avoid expending energy on cleaning is either to not
clean--which doesn’t fly in this house more than a short while--or to have
someone else do it. I've taught the three other human members of my household
to vacuum regularly--so I really never have to do it and that suits me fine. I
dust and clean up after our Schipperke dog, Raven who is currently
"blowing” due to the change in seasons. When a Schipperke "blows” she
sheds most of her thick undercoat in a matter of days so Raven is finishing
off her blowing (it’s taken longer than normal because of the funky
hot/cold weather) and I've used the Dirt Devil a lot but I'd much rather save
some energy by using the new Dirt Devil. I think it would make a nice gift for someone
you know and like--including you.
The new model Dirt Devil is probably awesome. I've always loved mine (I’ve had a couple) and really can't wait to see "70% less energy" AccuCharge Stick Vac or Hand Vac in action.
When buying an appliance of this or a larger nature you should always check
the Energy Star rating. It's a uniform way of grading the appliance, in this
case--for the very first time--the
"cordless-cleaning" Dirt Devil.
The Energy Star endorsed Dirt Devil, "the first cordless cleaning technology" to earn Energy Star approval, is a very good thing because it is serious about saving energy and saving energy is what it’s all about (contrary to that rumour about the song, “Hokey Pokey.”).
