Lost S04E09 The Shape Of Things To Come Sneak Peek 3 "They're here.""Episode 9: "The Shape of Things to Come" (Ben-Centric) *Featuring flash-forwards *Flash-forwards take place in Tikrit, Iraq. *Sayid is featured heavily in Ben's flash-forwards *Nadia's funeral is a main event in Ben's flash-forwards *Sayid is a pallbearer at Nadia's funeral. *Plot of flash-forwards is that of Ben "recruiting" Sayid to hitman as seen in "The Economist". *The reason why Sayid accepts has something to do with revenge (hinting Nadia's death may have had something to do with it). *Ben will be riding a horse in his flash-forwards for unknown reasons. *On-island, Ben and Locke work together to fight off the freighter people who have raided the barracks. *Keamy has taken Alex as a hostage and threatens to kill her so Ben will cooperate (rumours are that Keamy does actually kill Alex, but I doubt it). *Locke gets his hands on a satellite phone and attempts to communicate with those on the freighter. *Sawyer will be heavily involved in the massive gunfight. *Hurley takes care of a screaming Aaron in his and Sawyer's house while the battle is going on. *Claire's house will blow up as Sawyer tries to rescue her but is blown back from the blast (it looks to be Sawyer). *It will be revealed that Claire wasn't in the house at the time of the explosion or had narrowly dodged death. Either way, she's fine. *Jack confronts Charlotte and Daniel about if they are ever going to get them rescued. *The body of Doctor Ray from "The Constant" and "Ji Yeon" washes ashore but the people at the camp do not know who he is. *Ray's death isn't major but what it brings with it is (still unknown). *It looks like Kate and Jack attempt to make their way to the barracks. They are seen tromping through the jungle. *While in the jungle, Kate and Jack are confronted by the smoke monster" Rosallix
This sounds like a flashback sequence to me or a flash forward. Team Darlton (Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the showrunners) has gotten so clever about the placement of the flashbacks/forwards. But any plot device used too much begins to feel less like a story unfolding and more of a... plot device so I hope you guys reign it in a bit and come to some conclusions already!
