I noticed yesterday that my new Maple Lake Ontario blog came up on the 13th spot on a search as I was checking this blog's statistics for the oft-used search term "Maple Lake." I realized then that I'd best get hopping on putting up at least one post a week even though it's winter obviously, and I can't be up there to take photographs. I chose instead to add loads of weather and traffic links from "especially for" the Maple Lake area (Stanhope Airport) to the Haliburton Highlands to Ontario and so on.
I want to get as much local news on there and I know the next step should be to do more web searching for the little local newspaper and any news that could effect cottagers come summertime.
In the meantime, I have photos that I took a few months ago that until today I hadn't properly looked at. Here's one I like.
