The water level was very low for the first few days of our time at the Lake. The beach was much wider than normal, though the water gradually rose to almost-normal levels over the time we vacationed there.
As I was just getting out of the water and on to the beach, a whole flock of ducks swam up within a few feet of me. Though I was quite surprised, I managed to get off a few snaps.
Holy cow! Cool bill! And I love her markings. Her feathers almost match the colour of the sand-bottom lake perfectly!
