Hanauma Bay, O'ahu on a windy, not-good-for-snorkeling kind of day.

Flying Into Lihue Airport, Kauai
Is kind of Grand Canyon-esk. In a small way.
All three above are Waimea State Park/Canyon on Kauai. Used both the Canon D-70 and the Cool Pix 775 ( 2.1 pixels). Very nice optical zoom on it, tho' ).
Hey, I'm out of here--off to Maple lake for a ibt.
Happiest of trails...

I'm very happy to connect with a fellow Maple Lake resident and enthusiast. One must spend time up there to truly appreciate all it has to offer--and it offers much.
You correctly pegged the point on Maple Lakes's shore from which I shoot photos. I'm always trying to capture my "mind's eye view" of the lake and I haven't quite done it yet. I intend to keep trying, however.
Here are some older photos as well as well as a link to my photo album with a number of pics of the Lake and my family.
Thank you for stopping by and thanks also to your daughter.
Cheers!

We have a cabin on Maple Lake. Your pictures of the lake were taken from the shore on the east end of the lake between the now closed Maple Sands, (aka Maple Lake Lodge during the period 1940-1970) and what we lovingly refer to as the cove, at the northeast end of Maple Lake.
Our doughter, who lives in Las Vegas, NV found this website while searching for any site that mention what she call "my beloved Maple Lake.
