Last pm I got a stiff neck and within 10 minutes I was shaking so much I couldn't hold my mug of tea.
I was freezing even with tons of blankets, the quilt, and my spouse's
bathrobe and I was fully dressed because the thing hit me like a Mack
truck and I was too cold to get changed. The whole night was a
nightmare. And my poor spouse having to lay next to such a mess.
I know he was worried because the chills brought on hyperventilation
and he was afraid my heart would be affected. I kept trying to breathe
deeply and slowly but when your body goes off like that it's really
hard to bring it back.
Spouse stayed home with me today as I segued into having a fever of 103 and couldn't get enough cold cloths and ice packs.
Now that I'm able get out of bed I feel a bit better--one was not meant to spend 24 hours in bed--the body has many complaints.
So I think I'm past the worst of it--I had some scrambled eggs and
felt much better afterward. I'm very lucky to have such a great spouse
when the chips are down. Really illustrates the "in sickness and in
health" part of the vows.
Whelp, that's it for now.
Best to all,
