Things are a bit intense right now. Christopher (my youngest) is still going through some kind of pre-teenage rebellion and has completely let his grades slip by not finishing assignments.
Nagging doesn't work. Talking to him doesn't work. He's now grounded for two weeks--no electronic anything--because a) he needs to catch up on his work and b) he lied, several times. That is so not like him; obviously he's troubled--but we have to prop him up and get him over the finish line for this school year.
My older son is still employed--yay!-- everyday is a different experience and he says he's learning a lot--so good on that.
Spouse and I celebrate our 10th anniversary on-- damn! it's today. Oh, I'm....screwed.
On Saturday, in honour of 10 years of wedded bliss (13, as a couple) we are going to an Italian "ristorante" right on the water in downtown Chicago, then out to see the Blue Man Group's new show.
We were going to get a room downtown, but I really rather make the half hour drive and come home to my own bed--and besides the youngest will be gone for the night at his friend's so parental duties will not be required.
As usual, I have been out and about with the top down. Every single ride is a ride. I'm just itching for the pool to open though, so I can get back to my swimming. I have kept up with the yoga and have worked more in the warehouse for the charity, not to just help but for the exercise. Hauling hundreds of books around does help one work up a sweat.
Happy Thursday to everyone,
Cheers!
