I had the bestest top-down ride today. The weather was beautiful, maybe 65 degrees, clear and sunny and as I was driving west coming home from my zipping to and fro', the sun was just beginning to sink in the sky. It shone on my face and in those moments I felt like it was shining just for me.
I realized I was smiling and was so thankful for just being.
Through a quirk in scheduling, my spouse is off from his second job for the next week, so we have some DIY stuff lined up. Sunday will be steam cleaning the carpets from top to bottom of the house. I'm hoping too, to talk him into finishing a paint job in our finished basement. He painted to a certain point and just stopped. (Not to whine but I can't do anything where I keep my arms raised above my head--the heart thing--blood flow I guess--otherwise I'd do the painting, though I suck at it.)
I'm hoping for good weather because I found a nice Schwinn Racer men's bike where I volunteer, for my youngest son. It's going to be really pretty but I've got to get some rust off the chrome and have hubby help me get the new tubes and tires on. Oh, and a new pedal. The frame is excellent though as are the rims and brakes--nice comfy leather seat--all original everything.
I have a Schwinn ladies bike that I bought at a police auction a few years back and fixed up, but this one's nicer.
I hope everyone has a perfectly wonderful weekend. I plan to.
