There's a difference between supportive families and unsupportive families, a difference in how their offspring develop - psychologically, intellectually (I'm referring to "IQ" scores), and socially. There are many variables to consider - the many variations of the "other" (someone unlike oneself) at a macro level (society at large) and at a micro level (the nuclear family). The less supportive a family is, the more variations of the "other" there are. I should know...

birth order always fascinates me. I think that it's very apparent betwen myself and my sister.

I also look for similarities among friends birh orders and also "those that break the rules"
